Chase Paymentech names new president

Rob Cameron has been named President of Chase Paymentech, the Canadian division of Merchant Services at JPMorgan Chase & Co. that provides merchant services to businesses of all sizes, from small to global enterprises.

Cameron is a payments and fintech executive who joins Chase from Moneris Solutions, where he was the Chief Product and Marketing Officer and a member of their executive team. Prior to joining Moneris, he was Managing Director at ACI Worldwide where he was responsible for their North American merchant and processor divisions and managed ACI Canada. He will be in his new role in early April.

Supporting Canadian small businesses, Chase Paymentech extends CFIB partnership

Demonstrating continued support of Canadian small businesses, Chase Paymentech announced today it is extending its partnership with the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) through April 2022.

“Chase Paymentech has been a terrific partner for Canadian small and medium-sized businesses and the CFIB is happy to renew our partnership with Chase, as they serve our members well and offer the lowest payments processing costs available to smaller firms,” said Dan Kelly, CEO of the 109,000-member organization.

Code of Conduct

Chase Paymentech is pleased to re-affirm its commitment to the Code of Conduct for the Credit and Debit Card Industry including the enhancements to the Code announced by Minister Joe Oliver on April 13th, 2015.

Chase Paymentech was an early adopter of the Code in 2010 and continues to support the transparency and choice that the Code provides to merchants across Canada.

Interchange changes

On November 4th, 2014, Visa and MasterCard announced they will reduce their average effective interchange rates on domestic consumer cards through 2020.
